1998 marked Viva Forever’s release in the wake of Geri Halliwell’s departure from Spice Girls. 1998 also got me enthused in vending machines and capsule toys – owing in no small part to the many reruns of Viva Forever on TV2 during that period. Because giant vending machines and the notion of equally ginormous toys…

Thoughts over Ant-man’s opening week: he is one of the few super heroes who remain life sized when scaled down. The opposite is equally true. Ant-man toys are therefore life sized at any given size. #themashup #antman

“Treat life as you would a game. Improve yourself, raise your standards, know the mechanics of the game and take challenges in your stride.” “But unlike games, there are no save points and continues.” “That’s when you decide on giving up or getting up and walk again.” Here’s one for the gamers: the Atari generation,…

Totoro’s story was one of adolescence and growing up between two sisters. “Sleep should be commodified, if at all possible.” I’ve had this conversation whilst on a drive down south last year. To date, I maintain that sleep, vis-a-vis Justin Timberlake’s notion of time in In Time, would make a great commodity, if possible. Because sometimes, 24 hours just isn’t enough to factor in sleep at all.

Multiple deadline weeks are manageable, made very much less so when coupled with trial prep week. And then there’s the aforementioned combination occurring with the coincidence of flu, fever and coughs. It’s times like these that a career flipping burgers or barista-ing is all too enviable an alternative.

“Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them other wise.” – the Duchess, Alice in Wonderland And then this happens.

“Start (on your dreams). Because a year from now you’d rather have a point of appraisal of how far you’ve come, rather than how far you’ve not at all.” Thanks. I needed that. You know who you are. 😁
