The Courts do not, understandably, convene during Christmas Day. Christmas Eve, however, is a different story. The earliest recorded instance of a Christmas Eve hearing before the Court of Appeal was the case of Kong Wai v Public Prosecutor in 1948. One wonders if the Judges carry a flair of Christmas cheer or a dash of pre-holiday grumpiness during such occasions.
Merry Christmas (Eve) and happy holidays! 😁😁😁
